Book a Cabo Pulmo Snorkel Expedition

May 01, 2022

With such fantastic views of the sand and water in Los Cabos, it’s only natural to think about getting out in the refreshing, blue water. Why not take the opportunity to cool off while also tapping into your adventurous side? It’s possible if you book a Cabo Pulmo Snorkeling Expedition. This snorkeling adventure is a full-day, eight-hour-long commitment that’s a great option for guests ages 10 and up.

The adventure begins with a two-hour drive to beautiful Cabo Pulmo National Park. Much like swimming in your own natural aquarium, Cabo Pulmo is like no other place else on earth, and full of fascinating marine life. This is one of just three living coral reefs in North America, and it makes for an interesting and remarkable tour for visitors to Los Cabos.

Once you’ve arrived, a local boat captain takes adventurers to the snorkeling location. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime, as you’re in position to explore a 20,000-year-old reef. The tour even has photographers on staff to help document your tour, as schools of tropical fish, sea turtles, sea lions, whales, and even eels swim alongside you. It’s no wonder that Cabo Pulmo National Park is one of the most-visited national parks in Mexico, spanning the distance from Pulmo Point to Los Frailes Cape on the Baja California Peninsula.

It’s recommended you have some previous snorkeling experience, but tour guides are on hand to help all guests enjoy the experience. Participants must wear lifejackets, but you don’t have to worry about bringing along any extra gear. This tour provides fins, masks, and even wetsuits during the winter months. The snorkeling tour also includes some snacks and water, plus when the eco-adventure tour is complete, you’re able to enjoy a tasty lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to your original pick-up location.

Tour organizers do ask that guests only wear biodegradable sunscreen to help protect the reefs and the sea life. Keep in mind, guests must be at least 10 years old and there is a weight limit. Guests must also account for a small park entrance fee, plus you may want to bring some extra money for photographs and souvenirs during the excursion.
